The impact testing machine (English name: impact testing machine) refers to a material testing machine that applies an impact test force to a sample and performs an impact test. The impact testing machine is divided into manual pendulum impact testing machine, semi-automatic impact testing machine, digital display impact testing machine, microcomputer controlled impact testing machine, drop hammer impact testing machine and non-metal impact testing machine. Both the simply supported beam and the cantilever beam can be tested by replacing the pendulum and the sample base.

The pendulum impact tester is a kind of impact tester, and is a detector for determining the performance of a metal material against impact under dynamic load, thereby judging the quality condition of the material under dynamic load. The drop hammer impact tester is another type of impact tester and is suitable for drop impact test of ferritic steels (especially various pipeline steels).
